His Dominion

Canada was founded on principles of government that recognize the Lord as ruler over all. Psalm 72 is embossed in the halls of Parliament and our coat of arms draws from this text, which speaks of the reign and dominion of the King of kings. And so it’s fitting for us as Christians attempting to live godly and sort out how we are to vote and why we support one form of government over another, to look at the ultimate kingdom and reign of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. This text shows that great and awesome day when He will have dominion, “from sea to sea and from the river to the ends of the earth” (Psa. 72:8).
