MEN'S MINISTRY

In the 21st century men are confronted with innumerable distractions and temptations to draw them away from the God of the Bible. We are committed to pursuing the hearts and minds of the men of our congregation—young and old—striving together to stand for Christ in an ever darkening world.

Young men have an amazing opportunity today to glorify God by following Christ and living according to God’s Word. “A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish son is a grief to his mother” (Prov. 10:1).

Older men likewise stand apart from the rest when they resist modern trends and foolish pursuits to live the way God commands. “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her” (Eph. 5:25). “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Eph. 6:4).

Join us as we pursue Christ in order that we might be examples (1 Tim. 4:12) of holiness rather than worldliness, standing firm in the faith (1 Cor. 16:13).
ShepCon Field Trip
Each year, leaders from Redeemer take a group of men to Shepherds Conference in southern California. This is an event that brings together Bible teachers from around the world to minister to pastors and church leaders. Started by John MacArthur, ShepCon is attended by some 4,000 men for fellowship, encouragement, admonition, and learning over three days annually, during the first week of March.

ShepCon Livestream
At the same time, Redeemer hosts a livestream conference on our campus in Abbotsford for men of the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland to gather and enjoy the main sessions in real-time. We include book giveaways and special announcements to encourage local pastors, leaders, and aspiring shepherds.

If you want to be part of either of these events, and are an aspiring pastor or shepherd, let our leadership know, and when the time comes, register via shepherdsconference.org or via the Church Center app for the locally streamed simul-conference.
