Facing the World with Love

Our Lord Jesus taught His disciples about the glory that awaited them in the Kingdom of Heaven. Yet before they would enter that kingdom, they would face hatred, opposition, and persecution from a hostile world. Those who opposed Christ would also become the enemies of His disciples. Nevertheless, Jesus commanded His followers to love their enemies. How is such love possible, and why does Christ require it? As we return to this passage, we will learn important lessons about Christ's call to love those whom the world considers impossible to love.
