Daniels Deliverance
Apr 13, 2025 • Michael Chalmers
In the first part of Daniel 6 (vv. 1-15) we find Daniel being set up for accusation as a traitor in the land, while in reality he continued to live the righteous and God-honouring life he had always lived. But his “crime,” to pray in his own home with windows open to Jerusalem (6:10), was enough to land him in trouble. This week we observe the miraculous event of Daniel in the lion’s den and God’s mercy to deliver him from evil, while delivering his enemies over to the fate they sought for him to suffer. In this message we look at a Sunday school favourite and search for the true meaning and message of this wonderful passage of Scripture.
