Daniel’s Defiance

This message brings to us the Bible’s description of Daniel’s faithfulness in the midst of a corrupt society and its judiciary. Daniel did not go out of his way to protest authority, but rather acted righteously and was persecuted as one who rebelled against the king. If we look at biblical as well as church history, we do find many cases where believers lived according to conscience but were treated as seditionists and rebels against kings and queens and potentates of all varieties. There are lessons to be learned from Daniel and his approach to following the Lord no matter the cost.
