After looking at the broader timeframe from the call to restore Jerusalem to the time of the end, we now come to the final statement of the prophecy, and the emergence of a man who “makes desolate” and whose actions commence with the final seven of the seventy weeks of Daniel. Throughout history there have been various interpretations of who antichrist is, whether the pope or even the world system of any age, or a specific individual in the last days. We will look at why we believe that as surely as there have always been men who wished to rule the world, there is coming a time when one man emerges with satanic power and influence and sets himself up as the ultimate anti-Christ.
