Interpreting Dreams

In the first 14 verses of Daniel 7 we have encountered the dramatic dream of Daniel in its beastly depictions of four nations, followed by the appearance of the Ancient of Days and the coming of the Son of Man. In the following passage and the remainder of the chapter, Scripture gives to us the interpretation of the dream. The meaning of this text has great significance for all believers of all time as it tells us about the ages that will pass until the coming of Messiah, along with great detail of the last days. Far from Daniel leaving us with a cryptic and uninterpretable mystery, he rather hands down to us a roadmap for all of history and a hope we can point to until we meet our Lord.
