What’s the Difference? The Church and Israel

Early in our series on ecclesiology we discussed various topics we would cover, and one of those was the topic of Israel as it relates to the church. Is the church Israel? Has the church replaced Israel? What is the Christian’s relationship to the Jewish people? While many ecclesiological systems merge the two into one, or swap one for the other, a biblical view will show clear and perpetual distinctions. There are glorious aspects about the way God works through Israel as well as the church, but only by seeing them as distinct will we see the whole picture.
