Generations of Grace

Since ancient times the people of God instructed their children in the home and in the community of believers to deepen their knowledge of the Lord and His Word. In modern times faithful churches have continued to build up both family and congregation alike, instructing each generation in the truth. Sadly, many churches have tried worldly strategies and pragmatic approaches in their pursuit of the hearts of young people. But while many approaches have been compromising, there has also at times been confusion generally in the church about the role of the church in the life of the family. Sunday school itself has at times been called “unbiblical” or worse, and many have been scared away from very biblical approaches based on unhelpful labels and slander. How do we divide truth from error? How do we ensure our practices are biblical?
